Privacy policy
Lapcall is a race planning tool operated by Shorago AI LLC, a Florida company ("we", "us"). This policy explains what we collect when you use lapcall.app, why, and the choices you have.
What we collect
If you ask us to email your plan, we collect:
- Your email address (required) and first name (optional).
- The plan details you chose: the event, division, goal time, strength profile and pacing style.
- Whether you asked to hear about new races.
- The site you signed up from.
When you use the site, we collect anonymous usage data: pages viewed, which features are used (for example, building a plan, opening a tab or downloading a pace band), the general shape of your plan (division, rough goal time and settings), how long the page is on screen, the site or link you came from, and general information like device type and browser. This goes to Vercel Web Analytics and to our own database. We don't use cookies.
To count return visits, the site stores a random ID in your browser. It doesn't contain your name or contact details. If you sign up, we link that ID to your sign-up so we can see the plan you built and send you the right one.
Your plan settings are also saved in your own browser so they're there when you come back.
We don't collect payment information, health data, your age or your gender.
How we use it
- To email your race plan and pace band, a reminder before race day, and a follow-up after the race.
- If you opted in, to tell you when new races are added. You can opt out anytime.
- To understand how the tool is used so we can improve it, using aggregated data only.
We don't sell your personal information or share it with advertisers.
Who processes it for us
We use a small number of service providers to run Lapcall: Supabase (database), Vercel (hosting and analytics) and an email delivery provider. They process data only on our behalf and under their own security and privacy terms.
How long we keep it
We keep your sign-up until you ask us to delete it, or for up to 24 months after your last race with Lapcall, whichever comes first. Anonymous analytics are kept in aggregate.
Your choices
- Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing marcel.shorago@gmail.com. We'll respond within 30 days.
Security
Sign-ups are stored in a database that the public site can add to but not read. Access is limited to us. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Children
Lapcall isn't intended for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has signed up, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above. If the changes are significant, we'll tell people who have signed up by email.
